I'm confident this 'polar vortex' thing is completely made up. It's just a flashy word for: it's damn cold outside!! Occasionally I help out some friends of mine by walking their dog when one of them is away and the other has to work nights. One of those nights was the other day, when the high actually broke 0 for the first time in several days. Needless to say, I was a little anxious about it.
Apparently so was the pup! Here is he in all his winter gear looking a little unhappy
Fortunately for us, the night as pretty calm and we actually had a pretty pleasant walk across the frozen snow.
Since the polar vortex has broken? moved? dissipated? We're getting temps consistently back above zero and it's even going to be mid 30's this weekend!
