Since I'm not as talented as most as far as stealth knitting is concerned, I spent the majority of my weekend pretending that I didn't have anything important to work on. The good news about that, is that I got some solid crotchet time in. As you can see I'm pretty much finished with the second green stripe. I still have just a little bit more to go with the green, I'll need to pick up another ball of it to finish the full round. But once that is finished, it's smooth sailing into the 5th & 6th stripes. I'm really excited about this, the blanket is already getting pretty large. I don't know if you can tell by the picture, but the blanket is about 6ft in diameter. I've been able to use it as a pretty warm lap blanket lately. It's going to be so nice as a bed blanket once it's finished.
The secret recipient is out of town for a few days on work, which means I'm able to work on a few surprises for our anniversary unabashed. In the last few hours I was able to finish up the hat I'm working on and weave in the ends. I did decide to at least soak the hat and let it dry flat to see how the spiral settles in. It won't. I also realized I didn't knit it long enough so he could fold up the brim. I'm just going to roll with it.
And with that, this is officially a project I finished in Feb. It might not have been originally planned, but I'm going with it. That's Jan and Feb taken care of. Now, to get a head start on March...
