I have little to complain about though, I got to spend all of last week in sunny Orlando! It was so nice. It was HIMSS week. HIMSS is one of the largest, if not the largest, healthcare IT conference we have all year. It was pretty intense. Every major healthcare organization, vendor, and governing body was represented. We even had Hillary Clinton as our keynote!
It was an intense week. I learned a lot and really felt that I represented my company, and my customers, well. I gained a little bit of piece of mind that my company is heading in the right direction on the project that I'm working on, which might be small in the long run - is good for my short term well being.
After the conference was over, I did get in a little bit of vacation time! What do you do when you are in Orlando???? You go to Disney World!! It was an equally exhausting day - after spending 5 days in a work conference - spending 15 hrs in a amusement park is actually really hard. We lasted as long as our feet would allow us.As you can imagine... I haven't spent much time knitting. I did get a few more rounds of my granny square blanket in while I crashed on the couch. It's getting pretty big now, I'm 1 band into the 3rd color stripe. It goes so fast! I also bought some pretty yarn yesterday to work on my March project. The yarn is worsted weight and hand dyed and so pretty. I'm thinking fingerless mittens or a cowl. Something that will show off the color variations and lusciousness of the yarn. It'll have to be quick because I have another trip to SD coming up in a few weeks.
