Slow and Steady Wins the Race
I guess that statement isn't actually correct. This blanket has been nothing but fast. I'm constantly surprised by how much I get done even in 20 minutes of hooking. In the last post I mentioned that I spent a little bit of time working the first round of Spearmint. I noticed how much I'm liking these colors together. I wasn't completely sold on my color choices, and each time I added a new color - it just looked out of place. What I didn't realize is that this is very much like chili... the longer the ingredients have to mesh with each other, the more delicious the taste. In other words, I'm quite smitten with the way the colors play off each other.
It's hard to gauge size from the picture, but it's really getting large. I can lay diagonally on top of the blanket with my arms outstretched - and it is still bigger than me. It's going to be huge and squishy. This is partially why I haven't committed to the rest of the color scheme, I don't know how big I necessarily want the blanket getting. At the very least, I know what the next color is going to be and that's as far as I've gotten.
