Over the weekend all I wanted to do was knit something! I've been itching to start my March project, knowing I wanted something relatively small and fast to ensure completion this month. After hours of searching for the right pattern, I settled on a lovely little pair of ankle socks in a yarn that was gifted to me over Christmas.
Well, after several hours of working on a gauge, casting on, setting up and knitting... I realized that I dropped a stitch... it's far enough that it will be hard to fix it without ripping it out. I probably could do it it I really tried, but the yarn I'm using isn't that flexible so fixing a dropped stitch will be difficult. Ultimately, I don't know if I'm motivated to fix it. It was such an effort to get to where I am and the thought of starting over again is depressing. :(
I didn't even work on the blanket - that's how frustrated I was over this whole thing.
Well see what my mood is later, if I'll attempt to fix it or not. I have another project on the docket for the boy. He wants a pair of fingerless mittens for when he's working up at the farm. Something like Leap although with less color changing.
In other news... I never did show you my lovely hand painted yarn that I picked up the other day. This is Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage in the Whiskey Barrel colorway. It's a really lovely worsted weight yarn and the colorway is just yummy. The picture doesn't do it justice... it's a lot of browns, reds and there is some blue in there as well. I'm thinking about spinning this up for a pair of leg warmers or maybe a cowl...
